After a number of years training and showing morgans, arabians and national show horses, we were given the opportunity to teach a miniature horse to drive.  The miniature horse was Little Kings Bay Banner owned by Westwind Farms, Cammie Cavanaugh.  Well to make a long story short, over the last 15 years our focus has been and will continue to be the miniature horse.
   
Our training techniques have been developed through many years of working with some of the top morgan horse trainers in the country.  All of this knowledge was applied to the miniature breed. Our work and show equipment was all custom made to fit the smaller horse.  The training and breeding facility is one of the best, including a temperature controlled show barn, individual box stalls, indoor and outdoor arenas and round pens, hot walker and 3 board vinyl fencing throughout the property.

 

We have not only trained, shown and bred multiple national grand champion horses, some of the best horses in the miniature industry have been sold through Southwick Stables.  These horses have went on to fulfill the dreams of many owners in becoming national champions themselves in amateur, open and youth classes.
